About the role

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific AV systems integration projects. You will ensure projects meet time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction requirements while coordinating all activities for timely, accurate, and on-budget completion according to established AVI-SPL Project Management processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and comply with all AVI-SPL standard processes and procedures within the AVI-SPL Operations Playbook, utilizing approved tools.
  • Be a subject matter expert with contract documents for each assigned project, including scopes of work, bid drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontractor scopes, and construction schedules.
  • Facilitate internal and external Project Kickoff meetings among Sales, Engineering, Programming, Fabrication & Installation, Customer resources, and Third-Party resources.
  • Identify and manage project risk, resolving issues with the team or escalating to management as needed.
  • Create and manage comprehensive project schedules and coordinate resource scheduling for all required tasks.
  • Facilitate project material and equipment orders.
  • Manage all project expenditures (equipment, labor, miscellaneous, direct, etc.) based on the project budget, identify problem areas, and communicate issues impacting profitability to management.
  • Provide and review status/progress reporting for all projects internally and externally, raising issues to management for escalation.
  • Manage and verify the quality of work performed by internal and/or subcontracted resources.
  • Raise awareness to management regarding potential claims, back charges, or large costs affecting AVI-SPL financially.
  • Ensure scope, schedule, cost, or change of terms are handled in accordance with AVI-SPL change order procedures.
  • Gather and supply AVI-SPL Service teams with applicable close-out documentation.
  • Maintain and develop strong customer relationships, focusing on improving customers’ perception of on-time delivery, quality, communication, responsiveness, and problem-solving.
  • Respond to customer communications regarding problems or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Steer project results to satisfy customer requirements and achieve AVI-SPL Net Promoter Score goals.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the team and organization, ensuring flexibility in adapting to evolving priorities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Audio Visual, Construction, Technology, or related industry.
  • Proven project management and team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated management of multiple projects using sound time management skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and investigation skills to identify complex problems and generate solutions.
  • Understanding of revenue, budget, margin, and financial variance factors of assigned projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects in the Audio Visual, Construction, Technology, or related industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical, contractual, and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MS Project schedule software.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehension of AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques.
  • Formal education in Audio Visual, Construction, Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Pay

Base salary range: $95,000 – $115,000.
