About the role

The Project Manager will be responsible for general project management tasks. Responsibilities include assisting clients with method selection and offering technical guidance, preparing project-specific reports, representing ALS at project meetings, prioritizing and monitoring projects, coordinating project sampling duties, day-to-day client communication, and following all company operating procedures, standards, policies, and training to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site.

Key responsibilities also include playing an active role in the ALS safety program by correcting or reporting unsafe acts and conditions, participating in and supporting HSE initiatives, adhering to safety policies and practices, reporting all personal injuries and incidents, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of laboratory experience is preferred.
  • 0–5 years of project management experience is preferred.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to initiate corrective action without prompting and assist co-workers whenever necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use (or learn to use) Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Adheres to safety policies and practices.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work on computer while sitting for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift (with both hands) and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier loads with assistance.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull, stoop and crouch up to 50% of the time while performing the duties of this position.
