About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be based in Boston, MA. This role involves overseeing project-related activities for smaller projects or defined parts of larger projects, providing technical leadership, and ensuring successful project delivery. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, identify new business opportunities, and mentor project teams to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project-related activities for smaller projects or a defined part of a larger project in support of the overall Project Manager.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for project delivery at the project level or for elements of a project.
• Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
• Support innovation in project management approaches and methodology to achieve marketplace differentiation.
• Identify areas of high risk and proactively take actions to positively impact project outcomes.
• Contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for project management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.
• Assess long-term and disruptive trends in your area of expertise.
• Accountable for the overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Project Management agreements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the public sector, particularly focusing on schools and universities.
• Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, facilitating their professional growth and development.

Requirements

• BA/BS plus four years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Deep knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.

Pay

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $140,000 to $153,000 yearly.
