About the role
AECOM's Flood Risk Solutions group is hiring a Project Manager as part of the Compass Joint Venture PTS contract for FEMA. This role includes both client-facing tasks and internal team management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor scope, schedule, and budget, manage risks, and handle changes.
- Weekly review of cost batch files to ensure appropriate staff charging and baseline compliance.
- Build a capable team across the JV to support client objectives.
- Coordinate with internal support for client tasks such as RSCs, other control account managers, CNMS team, etc.
- Provide mission support to regions finishing legacy projects.
- Offer disaster support, including advance planning efforts, in coordination with RSC leads.
- Deliver messaging as needed with CERC, Program Services, and Program Planning control accounts, and other control accounts as needed.
- Support program analytics using flood mapping program data, National Structure Inventory, and other datasets as requested by FEMA.
- Handle ad hoc/technical requests, including compiling community mapping program data regarding ongoing studies, timelines, status, or other information as requested by FEMA.
- Determine how risk data can support active disasters and recovery efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 4 years of relevant experience within a professional consulting environment or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Located in D.C. metro area.
- Demonstrated knowledge of FEMA HQ organization and previous work completed related to disaster frameworks and HAC/SAC inquiry responses.
- FEMA badge and GFE preferred.
- AECOM certified PM, or ability to become certified within the first year.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
