A42 Project Managers utilize a hybrid of agile and waterfall techniques to manage teams that are building and deploying production-grade artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions at scale. Responsibilities
- Successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects
- Educate technical and non-technical clients on project management techniques for data science projects
- Lead cross-functional teams consisting of technical roles
- Prepare and conduct project meetings with clients
- Communicate overall project progress to stakeholders
- Ensure project roadmap supports business objectives
- Identify and assess project risks (technical and non-technical) and effectively deploy mitigation plans
- Lead a project from start to finish, working with teammates from strategy, business analysis, development, and quality assurance
- Understand client expectations and requirements
- 30% - 70% travel annually
Requirements
- 3+ years of Project and/or Product Management experience
- Experience leading projects in Agile (Scrum) and/or waterfall environments
- Experience managing multidisciplinary team members
- Skills in leadership, adaptability, problem-solving, and critical thinking
- Experience working with high-level executives
- Ability to cultivate relationships with clients
- Ability to control client expectations and push back when necessary to ensure project success
- Experience leading discovery workshops and project kick-offs
- Ability to think outside the box to resolve problems while working under fixed deadlines and budget
- Willingness to learn new approaches and effectively apply them
- Strong communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering)
