Project Manager Assistant (Part-time) - Non-Teaching Adjunct, Level 2
General Duties
Assist with identifying and gathering business requirements for projects
Assist in the timely planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects across multiple workstreams
Assist in monitoring detailed project plans and schedules using MS O365 applications
Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on schedule using MS O365 applications
Assist in developing and executing seamless communication plans intended to foster effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, constituents, etc.
Assemble accurate meeting notes; follow-up on meeting matters in a timely and appropriate manner
Collect and analyze project metrics to support decision-making using standard approved tools
Provide accurate ongoing status reports; prepare and present oral and written project updates
Create project-related documentation and instructional materials using Word, Excel or PowerPoint
Escalate project issues to the IT Project Manager
Collaborate with colleagues in IT and other offices in fulfillment of duties and responsibilities
Engage effectively with end-users and stakeholders
Attend weekly check-in meetings to give updates on projects and provide feedback on project management processes to improve efficiencies
Participate in monthly division and departmental meetings as well as standard IT Professional Development Day activities

The City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center Office of Information Technology is responsible for voice, video, and data systems and services. The mission of this unit is to promote, facilitate, and support the effective use of technology in the learning process, in instruction and research, and in processing and accessing institutional information.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, project management, IT or related field
- 2 to 3 years of work experience supporting IT projects or initiatives
- Proficiency with common project and collaboration tools e.g. MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies e.g. Agile
- Some experience using AI tools e.g. Copilot
- Experience in higher education
Compensation
$51.94/hr (hourly rate will increase to $53.76/hr on 9/1/26 per the PSC contract)
