About The Opportunity

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking an Air Quality Project Manager to join our national Air Quality practice. SWCA provides our clients with high quality air permitting, planning, and modeling services across the country. Qualified candidates will have demonstrable consulting experience in the power generation, oil and gas, and/or industrial sectors. This position is a full-time, salaried exempt, hybrid and/or remote eligible position based anywhere in the U.S.

Experience And Qualifications For Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, environmental, or mechanical engineering preferred), or BS degree in environmental science or atmospheric science with relevant experience.
  • Seven (7) years of consulting experience in one or more of the following air quality areas required: air quality permitting, dispersion modeling, emission inventories, air quality construction and operating permits; and/or compliance reporting.
  • Experience with all phases of project development including proposal writing, initial constraints analysis, and permitting, as well as experience managing budgets, invoicing, maintaining project schedules, and supporting quality assurance/quality control efforts.
  • Experience in project management and client management.
  • Working knowledge with the appropriate regulatory authorities and regulations such as Green House Gas (GHG), Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), New Source Review (NSR), Best Available Control Technology (BACT), Lowest Achievable Emissions Rate (LAER), New Source Performance Standard (NSPS) and Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • P.E. or E.I.T. licensed.
  • Demonstrated consulting experience in the power generation, oil & gas, and/or industrial sectors.
  • Experience performing, NEPA air quality resource analysis including technical writing.
  • Experience performing and managing noise impact assessments.
