Role Summary A project management professional is responsible for leading the deployment of Access OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) technology within a fiber access network environment. This role oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of the OTDR implementation, ensuring seamless integration with existing network operations. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring successful deployment from initiation to go-live. Responsibilities Develop and manage the end-to-end project plan, timeline, and budget for Access OTDR deployment. Coordinate with network engineering, field operations, and vendor/OEM teams to align project scope, integration requirements, and deployment schedules. Identify and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle. Track project progress and generate status reports for stakeholders and leadership. Ensure thorough testing, training, and documentation are completed prior to system go-live. Facilitate cross-team communication and collaboration to meet project milestones. Manage vendor relationships and oversee outsourced activities related to OTDR deployment. Maintain compliance with project scope, quality standards, and organizational policies. Support troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts during and after deployment. Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects. Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in project coordination, technical project management, or engineering operations support. Familiarity with fiber access networks and test/monitoring equipment; OTDR experience is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a technical environment alongside software and systems engineering teams. Strong organizational skills with multitasking ability across multiple workstreams. PMP certification is preferred. Proven vendor management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and at least one project or issue-tracking tools. Publishing Pay Range: $45.00 – $51.00 USD Hourly This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
