Key Responsibilities

• Makes sure all project costs are actively managed and tracked through the state's project management software (PMS)
• Communicates the financial health of projects to the Adjutant General's Department (ADJ) leadership team
• Measures project performance against the schedule and budget and analyzes the financial impact of change orders, supporting the change order process for the broader project team
• Reviews payment processing tasks through OAKS-CI and provides direction to Project Managers regarding any shortfalls
• Tracks and logs project issues and risks; evaluates the effectiveness of mitigation efforts
• Acts as ADJ liaison with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) and outside agencies to increase the overall effectiveness of the State's PMS
• Works with the Design & Project Management (DPM) team to forecast ongoing and future project timelines and needs
• Manages project financial and schedule planning
• Manages project reporting, communication, and closure
• Attends meetings, training sessions, and professional conferences to remain current with industry standards and agency policies

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in project management (including management and development of project/program requirements, design, development, testing/pilot, training, and full-scale implementation)
• Experience commensurate with the project/program and/or position description on file (e.g., specific human service program area, management information sciences, fiscal)
• 12 months of experience in budgeting and calculating cost projections of programs/projects
• Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above (2 years of post-secondary education majoring in business administration, public administration, computer science/information technology, social science, or health, with major being commensurate with the project to be assigned; 12 months of experience in budgeting and calculating cost projections of programs/projects)
• Previous experience working with the Military with understanding of Federal/State financial splits
• Previous experience working with OAKs-CI
• Previous experience with budget, tracking cost, and managing financial resources
• Understanding of OAKs-Fin
