About the role

Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage projects ranging from $1M and above, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, directing, application engineering, budgeting, and procurement.
  • Ensure projects are completed within budgeted cost, time schedules, and maintain positive cash flow.
  • Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all projects.
  • Communicate project requirements to the project team and wider organization as needed.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
  • Manage subcontractor selection process and work.
  • Manage direct reports, if applicable.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required.

Requirements

  • Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems, and AV systems).
  • Associates degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or AV systems.
  • Previous project supervisory experience preferred.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred.
  • Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills to resolve problems and find solutions.
  • Solid conflict resolution skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of IT networking principles.
