About the role
Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage projects ranging from $1M and above, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, directing, application engineering, budgeting, and procurement.
- Ensure projects are completed within budgeted cost, time schedules, and maintain positive cash flow.
- Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all projects.
- Communicate project requirements to the project team and wider organization as needed.
- Identify potential project risks and develop/implement strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
- Manage subcontractor selection process and work.
- Manage direct reports, if applicable.
- Perform other duties as requested or required.
Requirements
- Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems, and AV systems).
- Associates degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or AV systems.
- Previous project supervisory experience preferred.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred.
- Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses may be required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic knowledge of IT networking principles.
