About the role
Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage projects valued up to $1M, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion while maintaining positive cash flow and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manages many aspects of assigned projects from award through completion, including overall site management, installation plan preparation, and project scheduling.
- Engages in project contract negotiation, provides technical assistance to sales force, supervises project design engineering, and oversees installation labor and subcontractors.
- Communicates project requirements to the project team and wider organization, maintains accurate job status records, and acts as 'customer's best service provider.'
- Identifies and mitigates project risks, communicates project schedules and proposals to customers, and manages procurement and subcontractor selection.
- Reviews and approves project budgets, analyzes costs, and adjusts project plans and estimates as necessary to meet financial goals.
- Manages subcontractor selection and work, and oversees the execution and review of project scope, terms, and conditions.
- Manages direct reports, if applicable, and performs other duties as requested.
Requirements
- Project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems, or AV systems).
- Associates degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or AV systems.
- Previous project supervisory experience preferred.
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred.
- Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses may be required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
