About the role
Convergint is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage projects ranging from $1M and above, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion while maintaining positive cash flow and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage project planning, scheduling, and execution from award to completion
- Prepare project installation plans and job procedures
- Create detailed proposals and project implementation plans based on customer needs
- Negotiate project contracts and provide technical support to the sales team
- Supervise project design engineering, installation labor, and subcontractors
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Communicate project requirements internally and externally
- Manage procurement and subcontractor selection processes
- Review and adjust project plans and cost estimates as needed
- Manage subcontractor relationships and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Oversee project milestones and cost analysis
- Ensure adherence to customer contracts and terms and conditions
- Manage direct reports, if applicable
Requirements
- Project management experience in technical environments (building automation, fire alarm, electronic security, AV systems)
- Associates degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant engineering, field service, or project management experience
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or AV systems
- Previous project supervisory experience
- Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred
- Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses may be required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
