Project Management Specialist
About the role
This role focuses on deployment and execution projects in support of GE Vernova’s small modular reactors (SMR). You will report to the Project Management leader while supporting the respective Project Director in planning and executing contracts for the design and construction of SMRs around the world. The position provides project management oversight for the execution of advanced nuclear plant designs and licensing in support of commercial projects, working collaboratively with Project Directors and Product Line Leaders to define requirements and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Leads advanced nuclear project execution, including daily, weekly, and monthly progress reporting rhythms, and acts as a driver to solve cross-functional issues as they develop.
- Communicates project requirements and specifications effectively to the project team.
- Partners with the commercial team to define scope and negotiate effective project contracts.
- Plans activities across engineering functions to fulfill project requirements.
- Monitors project cost and schedule progress related to design efforts and takes actions to address variances.
- Rapidly addresses project issues while mitigating project risks.
- Ensures project quality and adherence to standards and requirements.
- Ensures customer invoicing is accurate and timely.
- Works to build consensus, influences a matrixed project team and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 3 years of Project Management or related leadership experience.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 25%).
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Desired Qualifications
- PMP Certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other STEM discipline.
- Nuclear power industry experience, especially in licensing.
- Knowledge of international nuclear export control regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve complex problems.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust with customers, managers, and team members.
- Ability to distill complex information and focus on critical priorities.
- Ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy, based on best available information.
- Experience working and influencing in a matrixed environment.

Pay
The pay range for this U.S.-based position is between $87,000.00 and $145,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
