Overview Department Overview The office of Business Development is responsible for daily operations of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama subsidiary, Preferred Care Services or PCS, Inc. Preferred Care Services is the parent company for 90 Degree Benefits and operates as a single entity with multiple locations offering unified products for health, ancillary, and administrative services in order to expand all partner plans’ membership bases throughout the national footprint. Primary Responsibilities The Intern position is designed for student workers who are still completing their education. The internship program is designed to provide practical work experience as well as exposure to our business environment. Intern positions are of limited duration and are designed to provide daily oversight with emphasis on training and development of the student. Summary Of Qualifications Status as a college student or recent college graduate of an educational institutionExperience working with various Microsoft Office programsExperience interpreting and communicating information orally and writtenExperience researching and analyzing dataExperience working independently as well as in a team environmentExperience identifying and solving problemsMust have a 3.0 GPA or consistent work/extracurricular activities if lowerPursuit of a degree in business management, Project Management, MIS, or related field preferredCollege Junior or Senior strongly preferred Work Location The work schedule for this position will be hybrid (onsite/remote).
