PROJECT MANAGEMENT 1
Full-time, 1st shift position at Ingalls Shipbuilding, the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi and a major contributor to the economic growth of Alabama. U.S. citizenship is not required for this position.
About the role
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and 4 years of experience or Bachelors degree or above and 0 years of experience
Skills
- Able to perform in ORION, Excel, and PowerPoint software
- Knowledge in preparing and initiating Purchase Requisitions (PRs)
- Ability to work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) with completion of Purchase Orders (POs)
- Tracking cost associated with all PRs/POs associated with each project
- Experience with computer entries and working with Excel
