Project Lead the Way: Engineering

About the role

The Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering teacher is responsible for classroom instruction of the PLTW Engineering Courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach PLTW Engineering courses to high school students
• Instruct students on engineering concepts and design processes
• Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
• Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to enhance curriculum
• Mentor and support students' academic and personal growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred in Technology Education or Instructional Technology, Math and/or Science
• Master’s degree in Technology Education or Instructional Technology, Math and/or Science preferred
• 928 PLTW HIGH SCHOOL STEM (7-12) endorsement required
• One of the following additional endorsements required:
• 189 PHYSICS (7-12)
• 185 CHEMISTRY (7-12)
• 182 PHYSICAL SCIENCE (7-12)
• 154 MATHEMATICS (7-12)

Qualifications

Experience teaching PLTW Engineering courses is preferred.
