About the role
The Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering teacher is responsible for classroom instruction of the PLTW Engineering Courses.
Responsibilities
- Teach PLTW Engineering courses to high school students
- Instruct students on engineering concepts and design processes
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to enhance curriculum
- Mentor and support students' academic and personal growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred in Technology Education or Instructional Technology, Math and/or Science
- Master’s degree in Technology Education or Instructional Technology, Math and/or Science preferred
- 928 PLTW HIGH SCHOOL STEM (7-12) endorsement required
- One of the following additional endorsements required:
- 189 PHYSICS (7-12)
- 185 CHEMISTRY (7-12)
- 182 PHYSICAL SCIENCE (7-12)
- 154 MATHEMATICS (7-12)
Qualifications
Experience teaching PLTW Engineering courses is preferred.
