About the role
The successful candidate will provide leadership for project development and execution, delivering on commitments related to safety, cost, schedule, quality, and capacity. This role serves as the single point of leadership during project execution and supports client engineering staff and construction contractors. The position involves working on-site at the client’s facility, participating in engineering projects from concept to field completion, commissioning, and start-up. Collaboration with the Design/Engineering Team and other discipline groups, both internal and external to the facility, is essential.

Supervisory Responsibilities
The Project Lead/Project Manager (PL/PM) is responsible for the overall quality and timeliness of work from all discipline personnel assigned to the project, as well as the coordination of discipline leads.
Responsibilities
- Manage scope development from FEED through final appropriation and field execution.
- Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and scope changes.
- Offer innovative solutions to clients.
- Assist with bid packages, technical evaluations, and procurement of engineered equipment.
- Handle multiple projects at different phases of execution simultaneously.
- Develop project execution plans leveraging best practices, client standards, and lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Three or more years of experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, or similar role in refining, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.
- Strong understanding of brownfield project execution, field coordination, and owner-contractor interface management.
- Ability to develop project scopes and support early project planning activities.
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with site operations, maintenance, engineering, construction, and contractor personnel.
- Working knowledge of project controls, schedule coordination, and execution planning is preferred.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and responsive client service.
- Ability to work independently and as a self-starter.
- Willingness and ability to work in the field.
- Must pass background checks and drug screening.

Physical Demands
- Occasional field trips to existing plants, requiring the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, and balance.

Work Environment
- Primary work environment is a business office with moderate noise levels.
- Frequent participation in construction meetings at job sites in operating plants, which may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, and airborne particles.
