Project Lead

About the role
The Project Lead is the “voice of the customer” in our Oldcastle Infrastructure (OI) facilities, responsible for the customer experience from the point of sale to on-site delivery. This role ensures 100% customer satisfaction on all sales orders by coordinating with engineering, production, transportation, and the customer to drive activities from sales order assignment to delivery. The Project Lead acts as the main point of contact for customers and vendors, monitors project costs, ensures compliance with contract documents, and balances customer and OI interests throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the “voice of the customer” within OI facilities and manage multiple sales orders concurrently.
- Conduct Turnover/Kick Off meetings with the C.O.M and Estimator to review sales orders, confirm scope, estimate values, and align production scheduling with the “Customer Ship Date” in AX.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates from production scheduling to on-site delivery.
- Oversee all aspects of the project team, including engineering, production planning, transportation, procurement, and accounting.
- Prepare change order proposals promptly, whether initiated by the customer or internally.
- Monitor project progress, proactively problem-solve, offer technical advice, and remove obstacles to prevent delays.
- Coordinate site visits and resolve issues from point of sale to project completion, including change orders, schedule adjustments, and information collection.
- Identify and requisition special purchase items as required.
- Manage submittals and approvals with the customer.
- Communicate with the Transportation department regarding delivery needs and follow up as required.
- Work with other project managers and the plant manager to manage long-term scheduling and minimize operational conflicts.
- Promote continuous improvement of processes and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (Civil Engineering preferred).
- 3+ years of Project Management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large to small, complex projects simultaneously.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience within the construction or precast concrete industry is a plus.

This position is located in our office/plant in Stone Mountain, GA.
