Responsibilities
- Understanding of contract negotiations, client billing, and contract amendments for changes to scope and fees under supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor.
- Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling project team activities under supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor.
- Developing project scopes and schedules and tracking and maintaining project budgets.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, stakeholders, and relevant agencies.
- Working with field and office personnel, both as a team member and independently, to produce Record of Surveys, A.L.T.A. surveys, Plats and Legal Descriptions, Topographic Surveys, Lot line Adjustments, easement exhibits, and any document required for project completion.
- Reducing and processing field notes, sketches, checklists, and digital data in required formats for Project Managers, Land Surveyors, and Drafting personnel.
- Calculating accurate Easements and Boundary Lines from Record Maps and Grant Deed Descriptions and Title reports.
- Reviewing and understanding Agreements, CC&R’s, and other documents within Title reports.
- Generating accurate Surfaces and Contours through AutoCAD.
- Preparing drawings per company CAD standards.
- Performing site field checks.
- Performing property information research duties for record of surveys, tract maps, parcel maps, deeds, as-built, etc., using internet and document search software.
- Analyzing field data and plotting accurately onto a CAD file (i.e., description codes, invert Dip sheets).
- Creating a 3D model from a point cloud.
- Adjusting conventional and GPS control networks.
- Resolving boundaries using accepted boundary and legal principles and case, state, and federal laws under supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent years of experience in Land Surveying.
- 5+ years’ relevant experience.
- Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) required, License preferred.
- General knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Internet, Bluebeam, etc.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, required.
- Knowledge and understanding of all types of utility plans.
Qualifications
- Ability to create a 3D model from a point cloud.
- Ability to adjust conventional and GPS control networks.
- Ability to resolve boundaries using accepted boundary and legal principles and case, state, and federal laws.
Skills
