About the role
The Project Executive, Mechanical/Infrastructure will lead civil infrastructure projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects meet time, budget, safety, quality, and client expectations while mentoring junior team members. This candidate should be based in the DMV area and able to commute to site visits as needed.
Our client is a family-owned GC since 1962 and a recognized leader in Mid-Atlantic construction, particularly in government and infrastructure work. They are a well-established general contractor with over 60 years in business, specializing in large-scale construction and renovation projects for government agencies across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple construction projects from initiation to completion
- Lead Project Management teams comprised of (PM/Super/APM/Engineers)
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution
- Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Preferred)
- 10+ years in construction, especially infrastructure/civil projects
- Proven history managing full project lifecycle and change orders
- At least 7 years supervisory experience leading teams
Skills
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building with clients and subs
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Office)
- Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and leadership abilities
