Transportation (Roadway) Project Manager

Responsibilities

  • Lead roadway design projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence
  • Assist in project design and delivery while mentoring junior engineers
  • Communicate adequately with all team members
  • Manage project scope, fees, and financials, including monthly invoicing and reporting
  • Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure quality project delivery
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate expectations
  • Communicate and manage external clients and their expectations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • NC PE License
  • 8+ Years of transportation (roadway) design experience
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak/ORD
  • NCDOT project experience preferred
  • Strong client management and communication skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Work primarily in the office setting with limited opportunities to be exposed to adverse environmental conditions
  • Primary work involves working with fingers by picking, pinching, typing and grasping often with repetitive motion
  • Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk, hear and sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Weekend and overtime work and/or overnight work and travel may be required
  • Additional physical duties may be required as necessary
