Project/Event Coordinator - Temporary

About the role
The part-time, temporary Project/Event Coordinator in Performing Arts will provide practical and organizational support to the show producer, performers, designers, stage crew, and technicians throughout the production process. They are also the show producer’s representative during rehearsals and performances, ensuring the production runs smoothly and maintains its artistic integrity. During rehearsals, the Project/Event Coordinator works alongside the show producer, recording decisions about blocking and notes for performers, tracking logistical details, and communicating rehearsal progress to the rest of the team.
Responsibilities
- Document and communicate rehearsal and performance progress through the production timeline
- Oversee performances and maintain the show producer’s creative vision
- Call cues for rehearsals and performances
- Procure paperwork to facilitate rehearsals and performances
- Attend production meetings and streamline communications between the show producer and the production team
- Coordinate technical elements and labor for performances
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Understanding of technical theatre and design concepts
- Ability to work a varied schedule based on production needs, including evening and weekend hours
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace
- Experience running and managing groups of people in rehearsal and performance environments
- Experience developing processes for theatrical operations
Pay
$25.00 per hour (non-exempt)
Schedule
Part-time, temporary role averaging 20–29 hours weekly.
