About the role
The Project Engineering Manager will oversee projects across multiple Refresco facilities within the assigned region, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to health and safety policies, GMPs, and wear required PPE in warehouse and production areas.
- Achieve food quality and safety standards as per corporate, customer, and governing body requirements.
- Manage and execute medium to large scale projects including line upgrades, process upgrades, new marketing initiatives, and building extensions.
- Develop and manage regional budgets, write projects, and manage suppliers.
- Communicate with all departments to ensure efficient project execution.
- Provide technical support and drive equipment and line performance optimization.
- Lead root cause failure analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OHSA and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Manage contractors, suppliers, and third-party resources involved in projects.
- Facilitate procurement of materials and equipment for projects.
Requirements
- Strong time management and multitasking skills.

- Leadership presence and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive data.
- Advanced proficiency in engineering and maintenance functions.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in beverage manufacturing.
- PMP certification preferred, Lean or Six Sigma certifications a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Advanced proficiency in engineering and maintenance functions.
- Experience in beverage manufacturing, specifically in canned products preferred.
Skills
- Project Management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software.
- Knowledge of equipment assembly, construction, automated equipment, water processing equipment, and maintenance techniques.
