Project Engineering Intern

About the Role
Founded in 1951 to meet the special severe service valve requirements of the United States Nuclear Navy, Target Rock is the premier supplier of highly engineered valves and related products to both the U.S. Navy nuclear fleet and the global nuclear power generation industry. The first Target Rock valves were installed on the U.S.S. Nautilus, the U.S. Navy's first nuclear-powered submarine. Target Rock valves continue to be the valve of choice for the U.S. Navy and are installed on nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers. Since expanding, Target Rock has become an excellent designer of critical solenoid valves for nuclear power reactors and was one of the first recipients of the ASME "N" stamp in the early 1970s. With over 6,000 valves installed in nuclear safety-related applications worldwide, Target Rock has the proven products and experience to handle the nuclear power industry's most difficult applications.
Responsibilities
- Nonconformance reviews and dispositions
- Project closeout documentation: Certification data sheets and Production Test Data Summary reports
- Creation of electronic assembly and test procedures
- NoMuda Visual Factory implementation
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Nuclear preferred)
- College or trade school education in mechanical drawing and related areas
- This position may require exposure to information subject to US export control regulations (ITAR or EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
