Job Description
This Project Engineering Associate Manager role is focused on developing the program office for Mk7. It relies on extensive knowledge of program management principles throughout a program lifecycle and an ability to recruit and train employees. This functional leadership role will interface with the Mk7 Program Management Organization, IPTs, and functional managers from other program disciplines. This role also includes responsibilities and authority for the management of program areas and tools.
As a Project Engineering Associate Manager, You Will:
- Cook up the coordination of employee recruitment, selection, training, performance assessment, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions
- Lead the development and growth of project engineers on the program
- Hire the employees for the program management organization as the team’s scope grows
- Cook up the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility
- Be a Full Spectrum Leader who is disciplined in value driven Project Engineering and drives design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way
Successful candidates typically have experience in project engineering or related engineering discipline with demonstrated systems engineering skills.
Desired Skills
- Leadership experience within the Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) Line of Business or for a major Weapon System
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
- Experience leading, developing, and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Experience building and integrating effective schedules, budgets, and business rhythms
