Project Engineer - WA
About the role
The Project Engineer (PE) shall support the Project Manager (PM), and Superintendent (Supt) as required for them to meet their goals through all phases of a project. Abbott Construction provides a complete range of construction services, from site selection analysis, design constructability review and aesthetic enhancements to interior fit-outs, new building construction, and building infrastructure upgrades and modernization. Responsibilities
- Managing the submittal process
- Managing the RFI process
- Managing the change order proposal process
- Providing research, backup support, legwork, data entry as requested by the PM and Supt
- Completing budget revisions and modifications in Viewpoint as required throughout the job
- Assisting to maintain a high level of safety in alignment with Abbott's core values
- Combining knowledge of engineering methods, construction methods and human management skills
- Providing support for planning, scheduling and coordinating projects to meet deadlines
- Offering support to the estimating department by soliciting subcontractors for projects as well as managing and distributing plans
- Being the main point of contact for subcontractors as requested by the Project Manager
- Acting as a Project Manager when a Project Manager is unavailable
