Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowing and understanding the inherent risks and hazards of the construction industry. The safety of each and every person on site is of supreme importance. Promoting and maintaining a safe project site, and monitoring and enforcing the Buch Safety Program in accordance with Buch policies and all federal, state, and local laws is paramount;
- Providing operational support in all phases of the project, preconstruction, construction, and closeout;
- Aiding in the development and maintenance of project schedules;
- Collaborating, reviewing, and tracking submittals and RFI’s to ensure schedules are maintained;
- Incorporating submittal and RFI responses, and drawing revisions into the construction documents to ensure a complete and current set is available at all times;
- Preparing closeout documents consisting of as-built record drawings, operations and maintenance manuals, and warranties;
- Aiding with environmentally responsible and sustainable construction.

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent field experience;
- A basic knowledge of principles and practices of design and construction, including safety standards;
- An organized approach with the ability to prioritize tasks;
- An analytical mindset and critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to collaborate with coworkers, clients, and outside vendors;
- A self-motivated and committed attitude;
- Proficiency in using computers and other similar technology, and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, P6, and the capability to learn new software applications specific to the industry, such as those necessary for estimating, project management, and project controls.
