Project Engineer/Project Manager

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Oversees the technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects
• Acts as contract administrator for assigned projects
• Mets to plan and budget projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and ordinances
• Provides team leadership, technical support related to construction inspection, supervises engineering inspectors and field crew as needed
• Oversees workload distribution between inspectors
• Solves issues that may arise in the field or during plan review
• Oversees CIP projects as assigned (including RZ CIP projects)
• Recommends projects for City capital improvements program consistent with master plan
• Assists in development of project budgets; reviews and monitors budget throughout the year
• Identifies and evaluates long-term infrastructure needs in commercial, private, and public development within City limits and ETJ area
• Reviews development plans flood plain applications in compliance with Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance and associated State / Federal criteria
• Provides land development review services including attending public meetings
• Provides engineering services for written statements, reports, letters, and citations
• Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field
• Four (4) years of civil engineering experience
• Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver’s license; Current Texas Professional Engineer License or the ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire
