Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversees the technical and engineering aspects of assigned projects
- Acts as contract administrator for assigned projects
- Mets to plan and budget projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and ordinances
- Provides team leadership, technical support related to construction inspection, supervises engineering inspectors and field crew as needed
- Oversees workload distribution between inspectors
- Solves issues that may arise in the field or during plan review
- Oversees CIP projects as assigned (including RZ CIP projects)
- Recommends projects for City capital improvements program consistent with master plan
- Assists in development of project budgets; reviews and monitors budget throughout the year
- Identifies and evaluates long-term infrastructure needs in commercial, private, and public development within City limits and ETJ area
- Reviews development plans flood plain applications in compliance with Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance and associated State / Federal criteria
- Provides land development review services including attending public meetings
- Provides engineering services for written statements, reports, letters, and citations
- Follows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field
- Four (4) years of civil engineering experience
- Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver’s license; Current Texas Professional Engineer License or the ability to obtain within six (6) months from date of hire
