Project Engineer Intern

About the role

Ryan Companies US, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to join their team in Arizona. The intern will assist the project team in completing designated projects while gaining experience in construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies.

Responsibilities

• Gain a working understanding of budgets, cost accounting, invoices, contracts, and change orders.
• Develop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety.
• Perform mathematical calculations.
• Read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural and engineering drawings.
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering/management or a closely related field.
• Within 18 months of graduating.
• Capable of working 40 hours a week for at least a three-month term.

• General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
• The ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• The ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, and architectural and engineering drawings.
• The ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

Pay

The hourly base pay range is $20 - $25 per hour. The base rate may vary based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Schedule

The position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or incentive programs.
