PROJECT ENGINEER INTERN
Job Summary
Knife River is seeking a Project Engineer Intern. This is a full-time position during the summer break from college, based in the Missoula office. The intern will assist with takeoffs, estimates, and other tasks.
Responsibilities
- Aid estimators in providing timely and accurate take-offs for estimates.
- Solicit and negotiate with subcontractors in a challenging market.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to ensure estimates are complete.
- Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Assist project managers and superintendents with project operations.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree program in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and Project.
- Preferred knowledge of Agtek or AutoCad.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and a qualifying driving record under Company Policy.
