Project Engineer - Industrial Projects

Key Responsibilities

• Aid the Project Manager in planning work schedules, determining manpower levels, and assigning project personnel.
• Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget constraints.
• Advise the Project Manager of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties, and assist in resolving such issues.
• Edit and compose letters, memos, reports, and procedures as required.
• Oversee and process day-to-day administrative tasks as authorized by the supervisor.
• Create and analyze special reports, studies, and statistical analyses as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have at least 3 years of progressively responsible project engineering experience at a mechanical contractor.
• Be proficient in various construction software and enterprise tools such as Excel, MS Project, Procore, etc.
• Have previous experience on industrial piping projects, particularly in water/wastewater treatment, jet fuel, power plants, oil & gas, and aviation fueling.
• Have hands-on experience working directly with union field/craft/trades.
• Be proficient with Revit, Navisworks, and/or Autodesk (ACC) Build.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
• Able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to read printed and digital documents.
• Must be able to climb ladders, access and egress trenches and/or attic spaces and/or confined spaces.
• Must be able to recognize alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
• Must possess the ability to grasp, handle, and manipulate small objects.

Compensation

$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
