Project Engineer I - Electrical
About the role
This position operates with minimum supervision and instructions. Participate in design, quality, and cost reduction improvement projects to existing products. Along with new vendor validation and value-added parts consolidation projects.
Responsibilities
- Interface with purchasing and vendors in the modification and approval of component parts.
- Construct and s prototype components or assemblies as required in the change Management, validation, and approval processes.
- Lead technical side of the project from the idea to the completion of the validation ss.
- Prepare written documentation of processes, material requirements, s results and project activity as required.
- Develop schedules, coordinate, and manage projects of minor to major size.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Prepare budgetary and resource information regarding projects or parts of projects in area of responsibility.
- Provide technical support to sales/marketing and manufacturing of new and existing products and processes.
- Design components for Medium Voltage switchgear per specification.
Requirements
- Holds a Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Electrical Engineering
- Has 0-3 years of Engineering experience
- Possesses 0-3 years of CAD experience in creating 3D models and 2D prints
- Able to use small hand and power tools
- Experience with desktop software such as MS Office (MSWord, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint & Access)
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
- IDEALLY You Will Have prior experience in CREO CAD System preferred
- Have experience with PDM database system, Windchill preferred
- Have experience with project management
- Conduct root-cause analysis and computer analysis programs (FEA, kinematic & dynamic analysis).
- Be able to create innovative designs
- Have a good understanding of statics and material properties
- Be able to read and interpret technical standards.

- PREFERRED experience with PDM database system, Windchill
- Preferred experience with project management

Benefits
What We Offer You
Typical pay is $80,000-82,000 annually. Please note the pay information shown above is a general guideline. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications.
