Project Engineer (Hybrid Office/Work from Home)

Overview & Responsibilities

The Project Engineer functions as the primary interface for the client for technical issues regarding their purchase of turbomachinery rerate hardware and/or engineered modifications. The project engineer also functions as the primary technical contact for sub-suppliers of major purchased components to achieve contract execution.

• Collects and analyzes detailed technical information
• Effectively communicates technical information regarding the assigned project to the appropriate organization
• Responds to new or unfamiliar complex situations

Background And Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferred Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Prefers one to four years of experience, as a Project Engineer, or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to manage sub-suppliers and function as a Lead Project Engineer for a contract order
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service and support
• Exhibits desire for continuous education and training effort
• Possesses good basic work habits, promptness, and dependability
• Self-directed worker, with good work ethic
• Disciplined, able to follow directions and procedures
• Maintains a professional and business-like behavior
• Above average communications skills, verbal, and written with a demonstrated ability to interface across different cultural lines
• Ability to travel (15-20%), including outside the US
• Able to operate proficiently with Elliott Business Systems, Project Management (PM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic work environment
• Developed time management skills, with an ability to balance demand among various projects
