Dick Anderson Construction is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Full-Time Project Engineer to join our team in Helena, MT. This position plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects by assisting with project documentation, cost tracking, scheduling, procurement, and communication throughout all phases of construction. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, owners, architects, and internal teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Responsibilities Include Preparing project submittals, including schedules, material lists, material specifications, subcontractor documentation, and related project paperworkCoordinating with accounting to prepare subcontracts, insurance documentation, monthly billings, and project-related financial informationSecuring required permits and maintaining all project documentation and filesReviewing daily timecards for coding accuracy and submitting them for processingCollecting, organizing, and maintaining project reports, meeting agendas, correspondence, and project recordsMatching invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments while ensuring documentation accuracyTracking project quantities, production, costs, and preparing weekly cost projectionsAssisting with quantity tracking and cost analysis to support future estimating and bidding effortsManaging procurement of project materials, equipment, and long lead-time itemsMaintaining accurate as-built drawings and project specifications throughout constructionLeading and supporting project scheduling activitiesCommunicating with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to maintain strong working relationshipsCoordinating material orders with Superintendents and verifying project material postingsAssisting with project closeout documentation, final pay quantities, final cost reporting, and project record storageSupporting the Project Manager with additional project coordination and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferredPrevious Project Engineer or construction project coordination experience preferredStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management softwareAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively with project managers, field personnel, owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and clientsSelf-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment Benefits Dick Anderson Construction offers competitive pay and an outstanding benefits package, including 100% employer-paid health insurance for employees and their families.
