We are a top heavy highway contractor with over 50 years of experience in the Greater Philadelphia Market. We have worked on both private and public projects up to $300M, including paving, structures, and major DOT projects.
About the role
Salary: $65,000 - $110,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing all stages of the construction process, from design to completion.
- Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Developing detailed project plans, including resources, timeline, budget, and risk management strategies.
- Conducting site inspections to ensure that construction activities comply with design specifications and safety standards.
- Implementing advanced structural engineering techniques and methodologies to solve complex construction challenges.
- Preparing and presenting project updates to stakeholders, including clients, management, and team members.
- Resolving any issues that may arise during the construction process, from technical problems to disputes with suppliers or subcontractors.
- Continuously improving our construction processes and procedures to increase efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on structural engineering.
- Proven experience managing construction projects from start to finish, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Proficiency in using construction management software and other related tools.
Qualifications
- A professional engineering (PE) license will be considered an advantage.
