Position Overview
As an Environmental, Project Engineer (EPE) for Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. (BLE), you will be responsible for assisting clients with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and assessments. This position is primarily environmentally focused, with some duties involving industrial/commercial health and safety requirements.
- Preparation and support of air emissions inventories, air construction permit applications, air permit renewal applications, emissions reporting, incidence reporting, and air permitting exemption documentation
- Development and execution of Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans
- Development and execution of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)
- Solid and hazardous waste management consulting (waste determinations, reporting, and regulatory support)
- EPCRA Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) and Tier II evaluations and reporting
- Preparation of industrial pretreatment wastewater flow and self-monitoring reports, slug control plans, and wastewater discharge permit applications
- Participate in on-site facility inspections, media sampling, and routine inspection report preparation
- Development, execution, and compliance monitoring of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures
- Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule requirements and deliver a quality work product to the client
Minimum Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree in environmental engineering, occupational health and safety, or related scientific or technical field
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial and/or consulting experience, with emphasis on environmental and safety programs and procedures
- Experience with on-site industrial manufacturing operations, chemical manufacturing operations, and/or mining operations
- Working knowledge of RCRA, CWA, CAA, EPCRA, and OSHA regulations preferred
- Engineering in Training (EIT) preferred
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills; experience with technical writing
- Ability to recognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate action
Local Travel
Local travel 2-3 days per week, with overnight travel approximately once per month.
