EHS Environmental Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including air, water, and hazardous waste programs.
  • Manage ISO 14001 program.
  • Lead sustainability reporting and data tracking.
  • Participate/Lead routine inspections and EHS auditing.
  • Lead environmental performance improvements and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Open to learning and expanding expertise across additional EHS areas to strengthen team performance and better support site operations.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in an environmental engineering or EHS role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal (e.g., EPA, OSHA) and state environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act).
  • Experience with environmental permitting, reporting (e.g., TRI, air emissions, wastewater), and compliance auditing.
  • Demonstrated experience in hazardous waste management and chemical handling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Certifications such as CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or similar are a plus.
