Project Director | High-Rise Construction

About the role

An established regional general contractor is seeking a Project Director to join the team in Tampa Bay. This position will play a key role on a multi-million dollar high-rise building and offers a rare opportunity to take ownership of a flagship project that will redefine the city's skyline.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams through preconstruction, execution, and delivery phases.
• Define and oversee project staff roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Promote a strong safety culture by leading by example and ensuring full implementation and ongoing compliance with corporate safety programs.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including project managers, superintendents, and field crews.
• Foster and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee preparation for quarterly management and financial review meetings in coordination with the operations manager.
• Mentor and develop project management and field leadership teams.

Requirements

• Large-scale commercial or high-rise construction and design expertise.
• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of construction management, including safety, risk mitigation, and control methods.
• Demonstrates exceptional business judgement by consistently delivering profitable outcomes and achieving successful project closeouts while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
