Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- In a supervisory capacity:
- Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs large and important projects or a number of small projects with many complex features.
- Is responsible for an important segment of the professional program of the organization.
- Recommends facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out programs.
- Selects research problems to further the organization’s objectives.
- Leads marketing projects within area of expertise.
- Makes presentations to clients, determines their needs, and prepares proposals.
- Selects and assigns personnel to various projects within area of expertise.
- Serves as a senior project manager or senior project engineer on complex projects and as a designated client contact.
- Serves as representative of the firm to certain major clients and manages significant marketing responsibilities to obtain work for the firm.
- Prepares and monitors project budgets.
- Has overall responsibility for the profitability of his/her projects.
- Works independently and self-motivated to take projects to completion.
- Communicates effectively with internal team members and clients.
- Specific to Energy Services Division:
- Leads a design team and manages tasks related to detailed studies, modeling, and designs associated with energy services projects and related facilities.
- Writes (or reviews) technical reports and design briefs to document analyses.
- Takes responsibility for the quality of written, technical, and graphic work for projects within the energy services team.
Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience with planning and design of power distribution systems, preferably in the Pacific Northwest.
- Experience with planning and design of electrical substations, preferably in the Pacific Northwest.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Master's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical).
- At least 10 years of experience in project management.
- Member of at least one professional organization and actively involved in its committees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical) from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Master's degree in discipline and is registered as a professional engineer in state of practice.
- Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic calculations for energy service projects.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Work Environment
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Noisy environment.
- Occasional lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds.
Salary
$170,000 - $205,000 (DOE)
