Project Director – Energy Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional project teams—including engineers, project managers, and technical specialists—to deliver high-impact results with precision and accountability.
  • Develop and manage multi-year departmental budgets with accurate forecasting, financial transparency, and rigorous cost and schedule controls.
  • Oversee the creation, review, and approval of detailed technical project documentation to ensure alignment with business objectives and engineering standards.
  • Evaluate complex technical alternatives, identify risks, and conduct in-depth analyses to support sound decision-making and innovative solutions.
  • Communicate project milestones, risks, and strategies to senior leadership with clarity and influence.
  • Implement scalable processes, tools, and procedures to enhance project execution and team efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with contractors, producers, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.

Education & Experience

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering, project controls, commercial development operations, and/or project management within the oil and gas industry.
  • PREFERRED: Master's degree in engineering or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience within the oil and gas industry.

Skills & Requirements

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as a top priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general PC skills.
  • PREFERRED: Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project scheduling and resource planning using Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Oracle Applications.
  • Advanced analytical skills for forecasting project volumes, assessing performance metrics, and enabling data-driven decisions.
  • Solid understanding of DOT design standards with ability to integrate industry best practices into engineering workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead complex engineering programs and provide strategic oversight to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
