Project Director

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections to evaluate the extent of damage and construction needs.
• Create detailed reconstruction estimates using Xactimate in line with carrier guidelines.
• Evaluate and refine scopes to guarantee precision, completeness, and profitability.
• Identify and document change orders and supplementary opportunities.
• Manage estimate modifications based on carrier feedback.
• Support business development by offering technical knowledge during client meetings.
• Ensure projects are bid and contracted at margins that align with company objectives.
• Oversee projects from contract initiation through completion.
• Create project schedules and coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors.
• Maintain safety protocols and adhere to company standards.
• Handle scope discrepancies, field issues, and customer concerns.
• Keep accurate project documentation, including notes, photos, and reports.
• Be accountable for gross profit performance across assigned projects.
• Monitor labor efficiency, subcontractor costs, and material usage.
• Ensure all billable events are documented and communicated.
• Review budgets and cost reports to avoid margin erosion.
• Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate billing and timely collections.
• Assist in accounts receivable efforts for challenging cases.
• Act as a senior point of contact for property owners and insurance adjusters.
• Preserve strong relationships with carriers and referral partners.
• Guarantee client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• A high school diploma is required.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
• The ability to participate in an on-call rotation may be necessary.
• A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Five or more years of construction project management and estimating experience are required.
• Strong proficiency in Xactimate is essential.
• A proven history of managing project financial performance is required.
• A deep understanding of residential and commercial building systems is necessary.
• Experience supervising and developing team members is beneficial.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with carriers are crucial.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities are required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to lift up to 70 pounds when necessary.
• Ability to navigate active construction sites safely.
• Adaptability to varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Compliance with required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when necessary.
