Overview
The Project Director - Fast Power provides leadership and accountability for the successful delivery of large-scale, complex energy infrastructure projects, typically exceeding $500M. This role oversees all phases of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) execution for boiler systems, steam generation equipment, and integrated energy solutions supporting fast-deploy power for data center applications.
Responsibilities
- Ensures alignment with strategic business objectives while driving safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
- Serves as the primary executive interface with customers, joint venture partners, and internal leadership, providing direction across multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring successful project outcomes in highly complex environments.
- Serves as the executive point of contact for escalation, negotiations, and strategic alignment.
- Manages high-level customer relationships, overseeing contract management and commercial performance, including risk mitigation, change management, and dispute resolution across complex EPC structures.
- Champions a strong safety and quality culture, ensuring implementation of robust project assurance programs, audits, and compliance activities.
- Supports business development activities, including input to proposals, RFP responses, and project positioning for future work.
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex energy infrastructure projects, typically exceeding $500M.
- Experience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) execution for boiler systems, steam generation equipment, and integrated energy solutions.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to drive safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage high-level customer relationships.
- Experience managing cross-functional project teams including engineering, construction, supply chain, quality, and project controls.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, with the ability to ensure compliance.
- Ability to provide executive oversight of technical delivery for boiler systems, steam generation equipment, and associated energy process systems.
- Experience in contract management and commercial performance, including risk mitigation, change management, and dispute resolution.
- Strong safety and quality culture championing, with experience in implementing robust project assurance programs, audits, and compliance activities.
- Proven ability to support business development activities, including input to proposals, RFP responses, and project positioning for future work.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project management, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or similar.
- Experience in fast-deploy power for data center applications.
