About the role

We are looking for new talent to join Adelphi Research, where we conduct market research—both qualitative and quantitative—exclusively in the pharmaceutical space. Our work provides insights that bring new drugs to market, fundamentally impacting the lives of patients with conditions such as oncology, neuroscience, immunology, and diabetes. You’ll contribute to projects that improve and extend patient quality of life while working in an environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and passion for meaningful work.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a solid understanding of good research practices and serve as Co-Project Manager and backup on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Begin tenure in qualitative research with exposure to quantitative research, aiming to gain proficiency in qualitative methods and foundational knowledge in quantitative approaches.
  • Qualitative Research Skills:
    • Participate in in-house moderator training.
    • Write first drafts of screeners and discussion guides, incorporating edits based on feedback from project leads and clients.
    • Conduct telephone or in-person in-depth interviews with supervision.
    • Set up fieldwork, monitor recruiting, and assess recruiting quality.
    • Prepare report appendices and preliminary analysis of results from in-depth interviews and focus groups.
    • Draft sections of, or entire reports, under the direction of the project lead.
    • Review audio, video recordings, and notes for verbatims and analysis.
  • Secondary Research Skills:
    • Conduct reviews of secondary sources (Internet, publications, associations) to gather published information on therapy areas and identify key opinion leaders (KOLs).
    • Provide relevant information to support disease background knowledge for proposals and project work.
  • Project Management:
    • Acquire and develop skills to act as the primary (1st) project director on straightforward projects.
    • Prepare for and conduct internal kick-off meetings.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Interface with clients under the guidance of senior project staff, demonstrating an ability to understand clients’ business needs.
    • Participate in client visits with senior staff to secure new and repeat business.
  • Quantitative Research Skills:
    • Write first drafts of screeners and questionnaires, incorporating edits based on project lead and client feedback.
    • Participate in and moderate in-person or telephone pretest sessions.
    • Check soft launch data and monitor fieldwork through reportal.
    • Thoroughly check online surveys to ensure accurate programming.
    • Verify data sets to ensure logical consistency.
    • Provide direction for report template creation and data file cleaning.
    • Run basic tables for output from analyses.
    • Draft sections of, or entire reports, under the direction of the project lead.
    • Check data in reports for statistical significance and codes on open-ended questions.
    • Post data, if required, and perform quality control (QC) on posted data.
    • Present to a ‘friendly audience’ on relatively simple or focused studies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 1 year of experience in market research; knowledge of the pharma/biotech industries is a plus.
  • Creative, innovative, and analytical thinker with outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly skilled in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Experience using market research software for analysis.

Pay

$60,000 - $70,000 per year.

Schedule

Omnicom policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. The objective is to increase this requirement over time, with many agencies already requiring five days of in-office attendance.
