Project Development Coordinator - Riviera Maya (Extranjero)
Azulik Resort and Maya Spa is an extremely private and enchanting, adults-only eco-resort and Mayan wellness center located by the sea in Tulum, Mexico. This off-the-grid nature resort features 47 hand-crafted luxury treehouse suites, a cenote bar, beach bar, high-end Mexican cuisine restaurant, music house, reconnection dome, house of ancient medicine, two boutique stores, and a seafront spa offering traditional Mayan healing therapies.
About the role
The Project Development Coordinator will follow up on all ongoing and startup projects within Azulik Resort & Maya Spa, including the House of Ancient Medicine, high-end boutique store, Chemist House (Botica), weddings, Mystikal Wanders (tour department), and research and development for the food and beverage department (Food & Love). The role will also support the creation of new hotels—one every two years.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a prioritized list of ideas and concepts
- Perform research on each element of the project as needed
- Assemble all elements of the project into a concise and comprehensive project plan
- Help prepare project proposals, timeframes, schedules, and budgets
- Monitor and track project progress and handle any issues that arise
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project management in a related field
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools
