About This Role

At NORESCO, Project Developers direct the development of complex projects by identifying, assessing, and structuring technical and financial solutions for federal customers' resiliency, energy efficiency, and capital improvement challenges. They have a strong understanding of a wide range of technology offerings and possess the communication and business skills necessary to bridge the gap between sales, engineering, construction management, and operations and maintenance (O&M) groups.

  • Translate customer needs into strategic and technical guidance to the development team
  • Possess a blend of technical, financial, contractual, and customer management skills
  • Communicate with senior executives within the organization and the customer's organization to ensure a risk-mitigated and customer-centric project

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical/financial support of sales activities
  • Financial modeling of Energy Performance Contracts
  • Proposal writing and review/QC
  • Management and coordination of development team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years’ experience as a project developer, project engineer, and/or in project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on Federal ESPC and UESC
  • Experience in the development of Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects and/or Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC)
  • General engineering knowledge of HVAC, lighting & lighting controls, DDC / pneumatic controls, and building envelope
  • Experience with Resiliency measures, including onsite generation (PV, CHP, etc.), battery storage, microgrid, a distinct plus
  • Skilled with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Sales aptitude and keen business acumen
  • Strong communication, project management, and team leadership skills

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
