Responsibilities
- Assist the project manager in meeting with clients, analyzing the client’s goals, and conceiving and developing solutions to those goals within the community and regulatory parameters.
- Initiate and create schematic designs and plans with responsibility for the preparation of drawings.
- Cook up and coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule.
- Cook up with the engineering disciplines and third-party equipment vendors, reviewing construction documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
- Write/edit owner provided UFGS specifications.
- Aid the project manager in planning and facilitating project meetings, setting agendas, and issuing meeting minutes.
- Ensure code and accessibility compliance utilizing several competing and often conflicting building, life safety, health, and accessibility codes.
- Cook up addendums, ASI, RFIs, and RFP Modifications and incorporating agreed upon changes into the project documents.
- Execute construction administration utilizing owner provided web-based workspace.
- Provide supervision and guidance to others assigned to facilitate the delivery of a project.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of professional experience.
- Licensed AIA/NCARB certified architect preferred.
- Previous Federal and/or Government project experience preferred.
- Client management experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project Schedule).
- Experienced and Demonstrated Revit user.
- Valid Driver’s License.
