About the Role

Architectural Lead and primary client contact for all designs. Responsible for effective, high-quality, and timely delivery of multiple custom residential design-build projects from conception through to completion. This includes complete leadership, management, and coordination of all internal and external design and estimating professionals to develop program, create innovative designs, meet client expectations and budget, and produce high-quality design and construction deliverables in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all workflows for delivering high-quality design and construction deliverables, including drawings and specifications, across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Serve as the client interface, collaborating with resource teams such as sales, concept design, interior design, construction, professional engineering consultants, production, estimating, purchasing, accounting, project management, construction administration, human resources, building departments, and DRC/HOA boards.
  • Support AUTOCAD/REVIT drawing production and document preparation for multiple projects.
  • Interact professionally with clients throughout the design and construction process to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Contract and coordinate engineering consultants, aligning internal architecture deliverables with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and fire protection construction drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee site, zoning, HOA, and DRB analysis for projects.
  • Manage construction administration, including RFIs and field bulletin coordination and distribution; work closely with the Construction Manager and conduct periodic field visits.
  • Develop technical production skills for Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and 3D models in collaboration with concept design, interior, and production teams.
  • Support the development of project budgets in coordination with internal estimating and purchasing departments.
  • Lead the Design Team through the permit process and handle administrative construction duties, including RFIs, field bulletins, and change orders, to ensure quality construction and adherence to standards.
  • Coordinate client meetings and self-manage project assignments from start to finish.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of residential or hospitality architectural project management experience in an architecture or hands-on homebuilding/construction organization.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
  • Construction knowledge to understand the construction process, terminology, and codes.
  • Knowledge of all applicable building and municipal codes.
  • Working-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide direction, meet timelines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to complete tasks and projects on time with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic with a high level of integrity.
  • General understanding of construction costs and value engineering techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD/REVIT/SketchUp as related to architectural/engineering drawings.
