Project Coordinator - Inpatient Administration
About the role
The Project Coordinator for Inpatient Administration is responsible for developing, initiating and coordinating major departmental projects. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing projects; creating reports and analysis; assisting in the administration of the departmental budget; verifying deductions; coordinating projects; providing guidance; designing forms and tools; overseeing others' work; composing reports; arranging and participating in meetings; coordinating with committees; preparing analyses and reports; making recommendations; and performing other related duties.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and implements projects associated with departmental needs and function.
- Creates reports and analysis of data.
- Makes recommendations based on findings.
- Drafts financial, statistical, narrative, and/or other reports as requested.
- Aids in the administration of the departmental budget by tracking expenditures and performing other financial tasks.
- Verifies deduction authorizations to ensure correct input.
- Captures and evaluates major projects.
- Provides guidance to others.
- Designs forms, newsletters, web pages, and other tools as appropriate to ensure the success of assigned projects.
- Oversees the work of others in carrying out project activities.
- Independently composes reports and correspondence containing decisions which tend to establish precedents and which may commit a unit or superior to a course of action.
- Arranges, participates in, and implements, as directed, conferences and committee meetings.
- Attends meetings with appropriate staff and faculty as necessary to provide and gather information and assure the meetings/programs are carried out appropriately.
- Coincides with the activities of, and provides semi-professional service to Medical School committees.
- Signs name to correspondence, requisitions, vouchers, and other forms of consequence, as delegated.
- Prepares periodic analyses and reports reflecting progress and trends of on-going projects/programs.
- Makes recommendations for improvement and implements as appropriate.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Qualifications
- Experience in project management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$25.30 - $37.95 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm. This is an on-site position, but may have opportunities to work remote on occasion.
