About the role

The Project Coordinator for Inpatient Administration is responsible for developing, initiating and coordinating major departmental projects.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and implements projects associated with departmental needs and function.
  • Creates reports and analysis of data. Makes recommendations based on these findings.
  • Drafts financial, statistical, narrative, and/or other reports as requested.
  • Assists in the administration of the departmental budget by tracking expenditures and performing other financial tasks.
  • Verifies deduction authorizations to ensure correct input.
  • Captures and analyzes data to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and evaluate major projects.
  • Provides guidance to others.
  • Designs forms, newsletters, web pages, and other tools as appropriate to ensure the success of assigned projects.
  • Oversees the work of others in carrying out project activities.
  • Independently composes reports and correspondence containing decisions which tend to establish precedents and which may commit a unit or superior to a course of action.
  • Arranges, participates in, and implements, as directed, conferences and committee meetings.
  • Attends meetings with appropriate staff and faculty as necessary to provide and gather information and assure the meetings/programs are carried out appropriately.
  • Captures and analyzes data to support decision-making processes.
  • Coordinates the activities of, and provides semi-professional service to Medical School committees.
  • Sets up and maintains databases and other systems to support project management.
  • Prepares periodic analyses and reports reflecting progress and trends of on-going projects/programs. Makes recommendations for improvement and implements as appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience in project coordination or similar role preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$25.30 - $37.95 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

This is an on-site position, but may have opportunities to work remote on occasion.
