About the role
The Project Coordinator for Inpatient Administration is responsible for developing, initiating and coordinating major departmental projects.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and implements projects associated with departmental needs and function.
- Creates reports and analysis of data. Makes recommendations based on these findings.
- Drafts financial, statistical, narrative, and/or other reports as requested.
- Assists in the administration of the departmental budget by tracking expenditures and performing other financial tasks.
- Verifies deduction authorizations to ensure correct input.
- Captures and analyzes data to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and evaluate major projects.
- Provides guidance to others.
- Designs forms, newsletters, web pages, and other tools as appropriate to ensure the success of assigned projects.
- Oversees the work of others in carrying out project activities.
- Independently composes reports and correspondence containing decisions which tend to establish precedents and which may commit a unit or superior to a course of action.
- Arranges, participates in, and implements, as directed, conferences and committee meetings.
- Attends meetings with appropriate staff and faculty as necessary to provide and gather information and assure the meetings/programs are carried out appropriately.
- Captures and analyzes data to support decision-making processes.
- Coordinates the activities of, and provides semi-professional service to Medical School committees.
- Sets up and maintains databases and other systems to support project management.
- Prepares periodic analyses and reports reflecting progress and trends of on-going projects/programs. Makes recommendations for improvement and implements as appropriate.
- Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Experience in project coordination or similar role preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Pay
$25.30 - $37.95 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
This is an on-site position, but may have opportunities to work remote on occasion.
