About the Role

Ironcore Construction is growing—and we’re looking for a highly organized Pod Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator to support our Project Executive and project teams across multiple multifamily construction projects. This role is built for someone who sees the big picture but never loses track of the details. You’ll help connect project teams, Accounting, leadership, and other stakeholders while maintaining visibility into the financial, administrative, compliance, and closeout requirements that keep projects moving.

Who We Are

Ironcore Construction is a California general contractor and full-service construction and development company specializing in multifamily residential and affordable housing.

Our Culture Is Built Around Six Core Values: Integrity | Vision | People | Safety | Innovation | Continuous Improvement

Building Homes. Creating Community.

The Opportunity

As a Pod Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator, you’ll support the Project Executive across a portfolio of projects while serving as a central coordination point for project teams. You’ll maintain visibility into project health, financial deliverables, documentation, compliance, permitting, funding, and closeout while identifying items that need follow-up or escalation. This is a highly collaborative role for someone who can organize information, anticipate needs, hold people accountable, and keep multiple projects moving forward.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Executive and coordinate priorities across assigned projects.
  • Maintain pod-level action logs, commitments, milestones, and recurring project reviews.
  • Track project health, forecasts, schedules, procurement risks, changes, and key issues.
  • Coordinate monthly project reporting and prepare consolidated information for leadership reviews.
  • Track pay applications, draws, invoices, budget reconciliations, and other financial deliverables.
  • Coordinate follow-up between Project Managers, Accounting, and the India Accounting Team.
  • Monitor RFIs, submittals, Procore compliance, and other critical project documentation.
  • Track subcontractor insurance, licensing, bonding, lien waivers, certified payroll, and compliance exceptions.
  • Monitor permit, inspection, Certificate of Occupancy, and other jurisdictional milestones.
  • Track funding requirements, lender/ownership comments, and outstanding documentation.
  • Maintain project closeout tracking, including O&Ms, warranties, as-builts, lien releases, retention, and final pay applications.
  • Identify overdue items, project risks, and cross-project issues and escalate them to the appropriate project or executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in construction project coordination, project engineering, or assistant project management preferred.
  • Multifamily or commercial construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities across multiple projects.
  • Working knowledge of project financials, RFIs, submittals, contracts, change management, and closeout.
  • Experience with Procore and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze project information and identify missing, late, or high-risk items.
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable coordinating across Project Managers, Accounting, subcontractors, and leadership.
  • Proactive, accountable, and able to escalate issues appropriately.

Pay

Competitive Base Salary: $110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits are available to eligible full-time employees, effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
  • 401(k) + Company Match: Employees become eligible after three months of continuous employment. Ironcore currently matches 100% of the first 3% contributed and 50% of the next 2%.
  • Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 120 hours (3 weeks) of PTO annually, increasing to 160 hours (4 weeks) after five years of continuous employment.
  • Paid Sick Leave: Paid sick leave is provided in accordance with California law and Company policy.
  • Employer-Paid Insurance: Eligible full-time employees receive Company-paid long-term disability coverage and $10,000 in basic life insurance.

Why Ironcore?

  • Work directly with leadership. Partner closely with the Project Executive and project teams while supporting critical business and project decisions.
  • Build broad construction knowledge. Develop experience across project controls, financials, compliance, documentation, permitting, funding, and closeout.
  • Make an impact. Your ability to identify issues, drive follow-up, and keep information organized directly supports successful project delivery.
